Lelia’s interest in massage therapy began while competing at the national level in figure skating. The experience of training and injuries led her to want to increase her knowledge of the anatomy and to educate herself in treating and preventing further injury.
Lelia graduated from D’Arcy Lane Institute for massage therapy in London, Ontario and became registered through the college of massage therapists of Ontario (CMTO) in October 2003. After working as an RMT for a year in Ontario, Lelia decided to move her practice back home to St.John’s, NL. In January 2005, she became registered with the NLMTA (NL massage therapists association) and CMTNL (College of massage therapists of NL).
Over the course of her career, she has completed additional continuing education in soft tissue release, pregnancy massage, cranial sacral technique, and PRRT (primal reflex release technique). These Courses help to strengthen her interest and knowledge of the human body.
In February 2019, Lelia joined the team at the Dynamis Health Center. She really enjoy’s the atmosphere of the clinic and the practitioners who work there. Lelia is happy to accept new clients and can be reached at 746-0190 or via email at leliahutton@hotmail.com.
